Why Epoxy

Durable, low-maintenance, made to last.

Improved durability

Highly resistant to wear and tear, so it withstands heavy traffic and daily use without showing damage.

Low maintenance

Once installed, it is easy to clean and maintain. A broom or mop handles routine cleaning.

Colors & finishes

Solid colors, metallics, and decorative chips give your garage floor a unique, finished look.

Our Coating System

Stronger than a standard epoxy floor.

Most floors sold as "epoxy" are only as good as their topcoat. We build a true multi-layer system: it starts with a moisture vapor barrier to protect against subsurface moisture, followed by a polyurea intermediate coat with a full flake broadcast for texture and durability, and finished with a polyaspartic UV-stable topcoat (or clear coat) that resists fading, scratching, and wear far better than epoxy alone. You get the same great look, engineered with a stronger, longer-lasting system underneath.

The same great floor you know, built with better materials underneath.

  • Cures in hours, not days. Most floors are ready to use the very next day.
  • UV stable. Will not yellow or fade in sunlight the way traditional epoxy does.
  • Flexible, not brittle. Moves with the slab and temperature swings, resisting cracks and chips.
  • Tougher surface. Higher abrasion and impact resistance for hot tires, tools, and floor jacks.
  • Chemical and stain resistant. Shrugs off oil, salt, gas, and household chemicals.
  • Built for Illinois. Handles freeze-thaw cycles and road salt better than rigid epoxy.

The Process

How we install your floor

01

Surface prep

We diamond-grind the concrete to remove contaminants and reach a bondable surface, then repair cracks and damage.

02

Primer & base

A moisture vapor suppression primer and base coat are applied for a strong, even foundation that bonds to the slab.

03

Flake broadcast

Decorative flakes are broadcast to create a slip-resistant, textured surface in your chosen blend.

04

Protective topcoat

A clear topcoat seals and protects the floor from wear, chemicals, and hot tires for years.

The prep work is the difference between a floor that lasts and one that peels. Poor preparation is the number one reason epoxy fails, so we never rush it.

What does a garage floor coating cost?

Cost depends on the size and condition of your garage. Most epoxy garage floors fall in a predictable per-square-foot range, and we give you an honest number up front.

Because most jobs can be quoted over the phone in about five minutes, there is no waiting around. Call (815) 949-4711 and we will walk you through it.

Common Questions

Epoxy garage floor FAQ

What is epoxy flooring made of?
Epoxy flooring is made of epoxy resin, a hard plastic-like material. It is applied to the existing garage floor in two thin layers. The resin creates a strong bond with the concrete, providing an extremely durable and resilient finish.
How long do epoxy floors last?
A professionally installed epoxy garage floor can last 10 to 20 years or longer with proper care. Lifespan depends on surface preparation, product quality, traffic levels, and maintenance. High-quality systems resist hot tire marks, oil stains, moisture, and heavy equipment better than standard coatings.
How long does installation take?
Most epoxy floors can be installed in 1 to 2 days depending on the size and condition of the garage. The epoxy must cure for at least 24 to 48 hours before it is ready to use, so plan ahead for install and curing time.
What colors and flakes do you offer?
We offer epoxy floors in a variety of colors and finishes, including solid colors, metallic epoxies, and decorative chip blends in many combinations. Custom floors can be built to match your space.
Why hire a professional instead of a DIY kit?
Professionals use commercial-grade products and specialized equipment like diamond grinders for proper bonding. DIY kits often use thinner coatings and skip critical prep steps, which is the main reason epoxy floors peel or bubble. Proper preparation and application give you a stronger finish that lasts for years.
Is epoxy a good choice for Illinois garages?
Yes. Garages here deal with snow, salt, rain, and temperature swings that damage untreated concrete. Epoxy creates a sealed, durable surface that helps prevent cracking, staining, and surface wear, while making the space easier to clean.
